MEXICO CITY, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) — A shootout between two criminal groups in the southern Mexican state of Guerrero on Thursday killed 16 people, authorities said.
Two police officers were killed, Mexico’s defense ministry said in a statement. The remaining dead, 14 in total, were presumed members of criminal groups, media reports said. ■
